When you apply for a course, you will fill in an application form in which you will be asked to give us information about your English learning so far, your assessment of your standard and the particular areas of English on which you would like to concentrate. Once you have been accepted for a course, you will be asked to do an initial assessment test. The purpose of all of these is to help us prepare a course which will suit you in terms of level and content.
Some students may wish to prepare for the one of the specific qualifications such as The Cambridge First Certificate in English, or IELTS. We are able to help students prepare with specific materials aimed to develop proficiency, including practice tests.

All our teaching materials are of a high quality and include text books relevant to particular student level. Each student will receive his/her own text book at the appropriate level to work on during the course and to keep afterwards. Audio/ visual materials will be used and authentic texts which reflect modern English culture, for example media documents. If possible students’ own interests will be incorporated into choice of materials. Students will study all four of the key elements of language learning: reading, writing, listening and speaking. However emphasis will sometimes be placed on specific areas of need or interest.
Lessons will take place within our house in a pleasant conservatory classroom overlooking the garden. It is equipped with all teaching aids and it is a peaceful, comfortable space, conducive to learning. Students should bring their own stationery, for example pens and paper and a dictionary.
